Kim Delaney was an American actress from America. The actress is best known for her character, the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she received an Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her performances in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Born as the only daughter to a top executive from the United Auto Workers and a household worker, Delaney was raised with four brothers. When she was a little girl, Delaney hoped to become a reporter for the court. However, in high school her modeling career began when she was able to model for commercials and after moving New York.
