Selena's tragic murder by a gunman caused an outpouring of emotion in Latino communities, similar with the reaction to the death of Elvis Presley and John Lennon's. Selena is a hugely popular Latino artist across North America, Selena's music has touched many lives across different cultures. Selena was a hot and stunning stage performer, who was often referred to as Latina Madonna, was also the model on stage. She was active in antidrug efforts.
